Los Angeles Lakers’ power forward Pau Gasol has partnered with Grifols,our partner, to bring new telepharmacy technology to the pediatric pharmacy at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The new Phocus Rx system will automate quality control oversight during the preparation of pediatric medications.

A charitable donation from Grifols, the Phocus Rx system is designed to enhance the safety of compounding medicines while also improving efficiency and workflow in the sterile compounding pharmacy at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Phocus Rx is a pharmacy technology system designed and developed by Ambar VS.

Last December we had the opportunity to present Phocus Rx in the Midyear 2011 with the collaboration of our partner Grifols.

The ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting is the largest gathering of pharmacists in the world. With its focus on improving patient care, the meeting is attended by more than 20,000 pharmacy professionals from 86 countries.

Phocus Rx had great acceptance by the audience and allowed us to get a large number of contacts that are allowing us to market our product.

The Hospital G.U. Gregorio Marañón is a public hospital, belonging to the Madrid Health Service, comprising more than 8,000 professionals.
